Chelsea Walker is an award winning theatre director.
 
In 2017, Chelsea won the prestigious RTST Sir Peter Hall Director Award, and toured her critically acclaimed production of A Streetcar Named Desire across the UK.
 
She has twice been a finalist for the JMK Award and was awarded the runner up prize in 2016.
 
In 2017 she was a director on the Old Vic 12 and was nominated for Off West End awards for both her productions of Low Level Panic and Cougar.
 
Chelsea is a script reader for the Susan Smith Blackburn prize for female writers, the Bruntwood prize and The Climate Playwrighting Prize.

Chelsea has directed two short films. LATCH, written and directed by Chelsea, is currently on the festival circuit and has been screened at HB Film Festival, Lady Filmmakers Festival, Mecal Pro Barcelona, Northampton and Shortest Nights. GOBBLE, written by Anoushka Warden, premiered at British Shorts Berlin and was screened at New York New Waves Showcase. 

Chelsea has recently directed R.O.I. (Return on Investment) at the Hampstead Theatre and Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. She is the Associate Director on Thelma and Louise at the Young Vic.
